Ernest Hemingway died by suicide following a prolonged battle with depression. I wrote a term paper on Hemingway my Junior year of high school. We were required to choose an American author, but I'm not sure why I chose him. I've never read one of his books. Perhaps, I'd read he suffered from depression. Perhaps, it was because I've always like the "for whom the bells toll" quote. It could've been because of his cats. It certainly wasn't because of all his hunting! RIP Papa.
